Forælder Fonden operates the parent’s dormitory Virginiavej, which is for single parents pursuing education. The dormitory is located in a Copenhagen-style house that resembles a large villa.
The house consists of 12 dormitory apartments, each with two rooms and a private kitchen. The apartments are approximately 53 square meters in size. The dormitory is located on a quiet residential street and has a garden attached to the property.
Community and shared living are highly valued at the dormitory and are considered important for both adults and children. Residents are required to participate in cleaning and house meetings.
Rent
2-room apartments – 3,500 DKK/month excluding utilities (May 2023).
The deposit is 10,500 DKK, equivalent to 3 months’ rent (May 2023).
