BUILT ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
In 2009, I was faced with the challenge of finding a dormitory in Copenhagen. I was surprised how difficult it was to find the right information about the dorms and their application procedures. It was then that the idea for Kbh-Kollegier.dk was born.

Fortunately, I managed to get a room at Industrikollegiet, where I lived for four years. During those four years, I was very involved in the dorm. Among other things, from my time on the residents’ council, I have experience of which applications make it through the eye of the needle when selecting new residents for a dormitory.

In 2011, I decided to translate my knowledge of dormitories and room applications into Kbh-Kollegier.dk. With this website, I want to make it easier for others to find their way to the dorm life that I have been so fond of.

MEET THE TEAM

Behind Kbh-Kollegier (Cph-Dorms) stands the founder, Rasmus Berthu Damkjær, along with Michelle, Micha, and Laura. We form a dedicated team that works daily to make the student housing market in Denmark more transparent and manageable for those of you seeking a student residence and don’t have time to wait endlessly as “a number” on long waiting lists. We have personally experienced the lengthy and cumbersome process of searching for student housing. That’s precisely why Rasmus decided to develop the website and search tool back in 2011.

We strive to ease the burden for students by offering a user-friendly and comprehensive website that can help identify residences in line with individual preferences. We also provide information on open house events, application windows, and currently available residences.

If you still need help or guidance, you can contact us at any time using the chat. Just click on the speech bubble in the bottom right corner and ask your question, and we will get back to you as soon as possible! You can also e-mail us at mail@kbh-kollegier.dk.

Our dedicated team continues to improve and expand Kbh-Kolleiger.dk to ensure that students in Copenhagen have access to a better and more transparent student housing search experience.
