Egmont Kollegiet is located on the border between Østerbro and Nørrebro by Fælledparken. The dormitory is one of the most well-known in Copenhagen and has existed as a dormitory since 1957. Around 500 students live at Egmont Kollegiet, making it one of the largest dormitories in Copenhagen. The rooms are 11 square meters and include a private sink, while the toilet and shower are shared with the neighbor. However, this does not apply to double rooms that have a private bathroom.
Rent
– The rent for a dorm room is DKK 2.935 (April 2025).
– The rent for the double room is approximately DKK 4.600 (April 2025).
Deposit:
The deposit for a single room is DKK 8.805, while the deposit for double rooms is DKK 13.800. Upon moving in, there is a maintenance fee of DKK 2,250 for a single room and DKK 4,500 for a double room. It is non-refundable upon relocation. (April 2025).

How to apply
You must be enrolled in a long-term educational institution in the Copenhagen area leading to either a Bachelor’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. No one who is at least 30 years old or has less than 1 year left of a degree can be assigned a room. In the link below you can read more about the application requirements at Egmont Kollegiet.
It is possible to reside as a couple if one partner meets the application requirements.
