Trianglen
Trianglen is an intersection located in the heart of Østerbro, connecting three of the major roads in the district.
You’ll find plenty of shops and cafés at Trianglen, such as the burger bar Halifax, 7-Eleven, Coffee House, a sushi restaurant and various shops.
A few hundred meters from Trianglen is Denmark’s national stadium, Telia Parken, and the lakes and Fælledparken are a two-minute walk away.
Nordhavn is Østerbro’s new district, which has been expanded in recent years. Today, the district consists of brand-new high-rise buildings and apartments that form an oasis of water on both sides of the quay.
A tiled promenade has been created, with restaurants and bars where residents can seek refuge and take a dip in the harbor bath.
The buildings at Nordhavn are beautiful architectural masterpieces and the area is definitely worth a visit.
Fælledparken
Fælledparken is one of the largest parks in Copenhagen and is home to Denmark’s national stadium, Telia Parken, with room for more than 35,000 spectators.
Fælledparken is a sanctuary for the residents of Østerbro, with playgrounds, beautiful nature, ball and basketball courts, and is frequently used for jogging and walking.
Østerbrogade
Østerbrogade runs directly through the district from Hellerup to Trianglen and onwards towards central Copenhagen. It’s a lively street filled with a variety of shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as plenty of specialty shops and delicious bakeries in the side streets.
Svanemøllen Strand is located at the northern end of Østerbro and on the edge of Hellerup. It’s a lovely beach with a relatively long pier for swimming and sunbathing. There is also a marina and café with beautiful views of the sea, city and beach.
Parks
In the center of Fælledparken is Parken, which is F.C. Copenhagen’s home ground and Denmark’s national stadium. The Danish national football team often plays its matches here, but the arena also hosts various concerts and other major events.
